In January, I made the mistake of commenting on how healthy we'd been over Christmas break - no one had gotten sick, which was unusual with all the people we see over the holidays.
Well. Starting MLK Jr. weekend, all that changed. In the course of two months, we had:
- 3x influenza As
- 1x strep throat
- 4x regular old everyday colds
- 4x noroviruses from the underworld, and
- 1 case of shingles.
It was rough - one illness after another pretty much straight through winter. By the time we got to spring break, it felt like we were one of those old-timey families like from a Jane Austen novel who have to go to the seashore to get healthy.
