Covid-19 Social Distancing: Week 7

Last week was all about our long school days at home, so this week I'll focus on some of the fun things. There are lots of walks and bike rides, and we've enjoyed visiting a creek and pond a short walk from our house. We're looking forward to the day Nellie can walk all the way there by herself! This weekend she rode home in the bike trailer with Mary, much to her delight. We also took another trip to Woldumar, where we went for a long hike and the kids put on a play called "Gangster Friends"...? With the warmer weather this weekend, the kids convinced Kevin to set up the little pool, which was FREEZING. Thank goodness they didn't convince me to go in.

The kids are definitely getting more antsy to see family and friends. There's lots of talk of, "I wish we had been quarantined at Aunt Pam's house" or "I wish we'd been quarantined at Papa John's house" as we reminisce about favorite memories. But I think that's more spring fever than feeling tired of being at home. They've been remarkably good sports. Here's to another five weeks of homeschool!

We've gotten desperate enough to enter the puzzle phase...

I had a hard time keeping up

It was about 60 degrees but they wanted to make a water slide.

The end result of the water slide. It took me about 2 hours to clean up the aftermath.
